LokalBau ist eine bezirkliche Strategie zur Förderung von gemeinwohlorientierten und experimentellen Neubauprojekten mit hohem Anteil an nutzerorientierter Koproduktion. Die Veranstaltung im Form eines Workshops ist der Auftakt zur Umsetzung der LokalBau-Strategie. In Arbeitsgruppen werden zentrale Themen erörtert und weiterentwickelt.

Im Berliner Bezirk Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg sollen in den nächsten Jahren rund 3500 neue Wohnungen und Gewerberäume auf landeseigenen Grundstücken errichtet werden. Dieses Raumpotential möchte der Bezirk entlang des Mottos LokalBau gemeinsam mit Entwicklungsakteur*innen wie Senatsverwaltungen, öffentlichen Wohnungsbaugesellschaften, zivilgesellschaftlich geprägten Projektinitiativen und -träger*innen so gemeinwohlorientiert und experimentell wie möglich nutzen. Aufgebaut werden soll ein Netzwerk, das allen potentiellen Entwicklungsakteur*innen sowie weiteren Interessierten als Plattform für das gemeinsame Gestalten der Stadt dient.

Im Zuge des Workshops werden die aktuellen Konzepte der LokalBau-Strategie vorgestellt und der Aufbau des Netzwerks an Mitmachenden gestartet. In Arbeitsgruppen sollen arbeitsfähige Konstellationen geschaffen werden, die zu sichtbaren und den Prozess prägenden Ergebnissen führen sollen.

Public welfare-oriented and experimental real estate development in Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg and beyond

LokalBau is a district strategy for the promotion of public welfare-oriented and experimental new building projects with a high proportion of user-oriented co-production. The workshop event is the prelude to the implementation of the LokalBau strategy. Central topics are discussed and developed further in work groups.

In Berlin’s Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg district, around 3,500 new apartments and commercial premises will be built on the state’s own land over the next few years. Under the motto LokalBau, the district wants to use the spatial potential as common welfare-oriented and experimental as possible, cooperating with development actors such as senate administrations, public housing associations, civil society project initiatives and promoters. The goal is to establish a network that will serve all potential development actors and other interested parties as a platform for the joint shaping of the city.

In the course of the workshop, current concepts of the LokalBau strategy will be introduced and the development of a network of contributors initiated. Work groups will establish functioning constellations that will lead to visible, process-shaping results.
